The Abundance Project

Rooted in Connection, Curiosity and Contribution

We are a cooperative group of families reimagining what education can be — vibrant, intentional, and led by the passions of children. Nestled on 14.5 acres of beautiful, usable land, our community gathers in a one-of-a-kind home community dome featuring an indoor koi pond, "classrooms," kitchen, cozy nooks, and indoor-outdoor play areas. Chickens roam the property, gardens grow with care, and imaginations thrive.

At The Abundance Project, learning is alive and child-led. We offer a flexible, responsive model that blends the freedom of self-directed education with the richness of community, nature, and real-world experience. Children are free to explore, create, and connect — choosing offerings that inspire them and following through on commitments they help shape.

By weaving together creativity, community care, self-direction, and entrepreneurship, the Abundance Project helps children grow into confident, capable, and compassionate change-makers.

  • Schedule & Rhythm

We offer two different tracks to support the diverse needs of families in our learning community:

    • The Academic Track Plus is a 3-day (M - W) enrichment option that offers math, language arts, and science as well as other crafts, art, games, and more enrichment classes.

    • The Social Track is a 2-day (Th & F) enrichment option that offers optional enrichment classes such as art, crafts, games, woodwork, gardening, etc.

  • Offerings & Explorations

Our offerings are shaped by the passions and contributions of the families enrolled. Children partner with parents to design and share learning experiences — from starting micro-businesses like animal rescue projects, chocolate making, or boba tea stands, to leading art, nature crafts, storytelling circles, or science experiments. We also invite guest speakers and skilled facilitators to enrich our days with workshops and mentorship. Participation in offerings are by choice, and learners are encouraged and expected to follow through with commitments they make.

  • Abundance Goals

Projects we are hoping to implement in the 2026/2027 year including starting a plant nursery, planting a food garden, growing a "pick your own berries" patch, creating an animal petting zoo, farmer's market, flower farm, a cafe and more! Through these opportunities, learners are supported in building real-world skills with purpose and integrity.

  • Our Teachers

We are beyond grateful to have some amazing staff and teachers joining us.

    Penelope Sullivan, Academic Lead
